Solar Roadways Wins xTech Clean Energy Pitch w/ US Army!
Solar Roadways has just won the xTech SBIR Clean Energy Pitch with the US Army! The xTech competition is designed to help innovative companies, such as Solar Roadways, bring forth new technology to help continue efforts for a sustainable future. Solar Roadways tech is specifically designed to generate clean renewable energy on roadways and any other surface that can be walked or driven upon and then collect the substantial solar energy which hits these surfaces but is currently not being utilized.
C5BDI Gives Back to the Norfolk SPCA
C5BDI continues our giveback with the Norfolk SPCA. Established in 1892, the Norfolk SPCA is one of the oldest animal welfare organizations in the country. Originally founded because of concerns about the mistreatment of working horses, the Norfolk SPCA now shelters, treats, rehabilitates, and rehomes household companion animals from throughout Hampton Roads to give them the extra time and care needed to find that forever home. More recently, they’ve added two affordable veterinary clinics open to the public. Learn more about the Norfolk SPCA and the impact they have on the community here in Hampton Roads.
Phase III Alert!! SBIR Phase III Win for Phoenix Group of Virginia!
Phase III Alert!!! Our very own Virginia Beach #SDVOSB, Phoenix Group of Virginia, has been awarded a SBIR Phase III with their Air Force customer out of the 22nd Air Refueling Wing in Kansas. The Phase III’s backbone technology is based on installation energy to reduce costs and emissions creating more eco-friendly bases around the country. This was a long sought-after Phase III, but C5BDI was successful in helping our client bridge the notorious valley of death that so many contractors find themselves in.

Ventum Biotech, our client based outside of Boston, was selected as a winner in the first round of the Army’s xTechSBIR Clean Tech competition. Their technology is one of the most advanced decontamination solutions currently on the market. Ventum Biotech is on a noble mission to protect our spaces against infectious diseases by focusing on the development of sustainable technologies for a safer world.
C5BDI Donates to PIN Ministry in Continued Giveback Program
C5BDI has continued our giveback program with PIN Ministry. As a support center for the homeless and poorest of the poor, PIN Ministry’s mission is to alleviate human suffering and create a pathway out of poverty. They believe a holistic approach is needed to restore mind body and spirit. PIN Ministry has 4 main pillars behind its organization; medical outreach, transitional housing, recovery, and training. Its hope is to make today better but its longer-term goal is to change their tomorrow.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) provides critical funding for cancer research worldwide to fuel advances in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, metastasis, and survivorship.
USAF STTR Phase I Awarded to DC Client of C5BDI & FSU!
C5BDI celebrates a recent win for one of our Washington, DC clients who partnered with Florida State University on an Air Force STTR Phase I to provide hierarchical heterogeneous planning and scheduling for trusted AI.
