C5BDI’s Mark Longe will be moderating the “Local Panel” at 1500 ET on Thursday, August 11th for DEFx 757’s “Seeing through Innovation Theater” hybrid event. DEFx events are known to bring together a blend of entrepreneurial leaders in the national security space to deliver inspiration, encouragement, empowerment, networking, and a wealth of advice, insight, and up-to-date info from National Leaders in the defense sector.
C5BDI Connects Huntsville Small Business & USC in STTR Phase II!
C5BDI recently supported our Huntsville, AL client in an Agility Prime STTR Phase II alongside the University of Southern California. The Phase II will seek to perform RDT&E on our client’s digital dual-purpose defense technology predictive analytics, optimization, and visualization interactive tool for management and maintenance workflow and resource scheduling.
DoE Awarded $9.7B to Small Businesses in FY 2021! Up $1B YoY!
Did you know that in the fiscal year 2021, the DoE awarded $9.7B to small businesses through prime and subcontracting opportunities? This is actually an increase of $1 billion from the DoE’s small business awards in FY 2020, a tremendous jump in small business support YoY! We are optimistic about the continued support from the DoE/USG in their delivery of opportunities for small businesses.

NOVA Client, Colvin Run, Win’s SBIR Phase II w/ Navy!
Our NOVA client, Colvin Run, has knocked it out of the park with their Navy customer – so much so that they utilized an option on their 20.4 Navy Phase II supporting improved medical care via condition-based maintenance. We can’t wait to see this Phase II turn into another Phase III success story in the near future!

C5BDI Out On The Road! Summer Travel Highlights!
C5BDI has been out on the road all summer long! We’ve been very excited to meet with many of our customers and clients in person and continue expanding our ever-growing community of partners. We hit the road to Whiteman AFB, Langley AFB, MARMC, CNRMC, and NSW on and off throughout the last few months, and recently to Minnesota, Grand Forks AFB, and the University of North Dakota.
Freedom Service Dogs of America! Our C5BDI Giveback Program Continues!
We are continuing our giveback program with Freedom Service Dogs of America (FSD). Freedom Service Dogs of America (FSD) transforms lives by partnering people with custom-trained assistance dogs. Its clients include veterans with PTSD, children, and teens with autism and other neurocognitive disabilities, and individuals with physical challenges resulting from conditions such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injury. Outpatient Won a SBIR Phase II w/ DHA’s WHASC of the USAF!
Outpatient, based out of Danville, CA, has just won a SBIR Phase II with the Defense Health Agency’s Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center (WHASC) with support from the 59th Medical Wing of the US Air Force! Outpatient’s solution will be used to automate WHASC’s Military Treatment Facility on-base management process for physician-to-patient care.

C5BDI has recently donated to Barn Sanctuary. Barn Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused and neglected farmed animals by creating a safe haven where these individuals can recover, thrive, and serve as an example for why they strive to lead society towards a plant-based lifestyle. Its mission is to help rescue abused and neglected farmed animals, nurse them back to health, and show the world who they truly are.
