Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, An Inspirational Cause For Kids With Cancer!
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. Her spirit and determination inspired others to support her cause, and when she passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million. Since then, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement.

C5BDI Gives Back to The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes!
For the thousands of seriously wounded veterans in Afghanistan and Iraq, the struggle to overcome the challenges in their lives caused by the injuries and illnesses they sustained in combat is one that must be endured every day. The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes was established to ensure that in return for the sacrifices they made for us, these wounded veterans and their families receive all the support needed to restore their hope and rebuild their lives.
C5BDI Connects IN Small Business w/ NIAID of NIH in SBIR Phase I!
A Plymouth, IN small business was recently selected by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a SBIR Phase I contract in partnership with the University of Notre Dame. This Phase I is designed to take digital tools and fight against misinformation about infectious disease treatments and vaccines.
Operation Turbo Receives In C5BDI Giveback Program!
We at C5BDI are continuing our giveback program with Operation Turbo, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit that ships “Boxes of Home” to deployed U.S. military stationed around the world, with a focus on those who might not otherwise, wouldn’t receive personal mail. Hope for Life is a PRO-LIFE organization committed to the rescue and placement of abandoned, abused, and neglected animals typically coming from high-kill facilities. Perceptronics Wins SBIR Phase I w/ US Navy!
Perceptronics out of Sherman Oaks, CA was recently awarded a SBIR Phase I with the US Navy to create a management tool for the design of effective human-machine systems with evolving technologies. This new technology will assist in identifying, defining, and specifying the role of humans (Sailors/Marines) in using technologies in complex systems.

Next week, C5BDI’s Jeremy Andrews and Melaina Murray will be attending the 15th Annual CDCA Defense Summit from December 7-8, 2022, at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston, SC. The CDCA Defense Summit is one of the largest defense-focused events on the East Coast, bringing more than 1,600 Government, Military, Academia, and Industry leaders together to better understand and address today’s technology challenges within our Defense Industry.
