It’s raining SBIR Phase IIIs! C5BDI is at it again, this time helping a Colorado Springs, CO small business win a SBIR Phase III task order for their Immersive Training Systems (ITS) supporting the U.S. Air Force Air Education and 56TH Training Squadron (AETC 56 TS) out of Luke AFB, AZ. This work will rapidly equip Airmen with a viable virtual reality VR training module to advance their mission to provide NextGen VR-based academic and ground-based instruction to support training the world’s finest F-35 and F-16 pilots.
The 56th TRS trains almost half the Air Force’s new fighter pilots each year. It conducts F-35 and F-16 academic and device training in accordance with major command formal syllabi, including initial instruction, transition courses, senior officer courses, Thunderbird and aggressor pilot instruction, forward air control, night systems, and Block 50 specialized conversion courses.
This new VR technology will accelerate the AETC 56 TS ROI by enabling pilots to conduct training across six facilities at Luke AFB, inclusive of Air Force acceptance and quality control of courseware and refined management, instruction, and guidance for all aircrew training devices for the 56th Fighter Wing.
Reach out to C5BDI if you are looking to get your business into government contracting and potentially get awarded a SBIR Phase III – we may know the secret sauce!
