C5BDI connects USAF RSO and South Bend, Indiana and Essex, Connecticut small businesses for SBIR Phase I Pitch Day. The next-gen tech solution will be housed in a disposable mobile container and include a self-contained 3D manufacturing facility. The unit includes all components and resources necessary for secure metal and fiber AM, final machining, inspecting finished products, and communication. This will accelerate the AFRSO’s ability to produce tooling, fixtures, support equipment, and aircraft parts for multiple platforms.
