A rapidly growing small business based in Northern Virginia was awarded a Phase I small business technology transfer (STTR) teamed with the US Air Force Academy, Warrior Effectiveness Research Center #USAFA #WERC, delivering #AI Recognition of Electronic Vertical Takeoff and Lift #eVTOL and Urban Area Mission #UAM tasks. This effort enhances the Air Force’s ability for innovative standards‐based assessment tools supporting simulator #SIM training. The enhancement also adds a new capability for Automatic Task Detection #ATD, a function the human observer cannot perform adequately in fast‐paced scenarios such as #eVTOL #UAM.
