Our pay it forward, C5BDI giveback continues! Our team recently committed resources and funding to support Vet First, Inc. (Vet First). Thank you very much to John Ensey from our team for recommending such an outstanding cause. Vet First leads the way in advocating for Veterans and ensuring they achieve the highest level of independence and quality of life. Equally, Vet First serves to enrich the lives of Veterans through programs that provide interaction, socialization, and physical activity along with honoring them for their service. Vet First is spearheading an agricultural initiative by hiring veterans to cultivate crop production, as an ecosystem, freely distributing produce to Veterans and those in need, spurred by severe market disruption caused by the global pandemic. This initiative aligns to the USDA’s “Families First Coronavirus Response Act” to also support workforces that have been significantly impacted by the closure of restaurants, hotels and other food service businesses. Vet First also provides fresh produce via food banks, community and faith-based organizations, and other non-profits serving Americans and Vets in need.
