Our #payitforward, #C5BDI giveback continues with our recent donation in support of #VirginiaSpecialOlympics. The #SpecialOlympics, founded in 1968, provides year-round Olympic-type sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. They provide continuing opportunities to develop their physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a loving community filled with friends, other families, the community and other Special Olympic athletes. Their program also involves more than sports and encourages those with intellectual disabilities to lead healthy, vibrant lives grounded in physical activity and are committed to helping those individuals demonstrate their personal best to themselves and to their community.
