Our pay it forward, C5BDI giveback continues! Our team recently committed resources and funding to support Youth and Family Empowerment Services (YFES) – Supervised Working Experience (SWE). Thank you very much to James Mershon from our team for recommending such an outstanding cause. YFES-SWE is on a mission to inspire and educate individuals to walk in their calling (passion and purpose) despite challenges and shortcomings, to ultimately achieve economic prosperity! The YFES-SWE team interface with numerous kids, then provide Customized Action Plans to help them get from where they are to where they want to be, all by recommending free/low-cost resources and/or services of our preferred Strategic Service Partners #SWE.
SWE is spearheaded by the owner of a VA Beach professional vehicle detailing business, #XtremeDetailing. GM of Xtreme Detailing and SWE Director, @Jeff Davis, leads at-risk youth providing them with the opportunity to learn a trade, earn a wage, and obtain the needed soft skills to be successful in the work place…in life! Through this impeccable medium, youth are introduced into a competitive working environment where they are mentored with the unique opportunity to absorb strong work ethics and a set of values based on hard work and diligence. SWE purposes to instill a belief in the moral benefit of work and its ability to enhance character, while providing a reliable work initiative and opportunity for youth to pursue new skills.
It is exciting to know that YFES and SWE are on the front lines, carrying the torch in helping equip the next generation of leaders and decision-makers…it all starts with a spark, and both YFES and SWE are an illumination to the multiple youth and college students that they have the opportunity to work with on a daily basis.
