Our pay it forward, C5BDI giveback continues! Our team recently committed resources and funding to support Homes for Our Troops (HFOT). Thank you very much to Blaine Lafin from our team for recommending such an outstanding cause. #HFOT purposes to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 veterans, enabling them to rebuild their lives. Rebuilding Lives is the most important aspect of their mission, therefore, they stay with their Veterans after home delivery. HFOT provides a pro-bono financial planner for three years to assist in financial planning and household budgeting, in addition to homeownership education and warranty coverage to ensure that the Veteran is set up for long-term success as a homeowner.
Highlight: Since 2004, HFOT has built 315 specially adapted homes nationwide, and currently has more than 100 Veterans in the application process for their program for severely injured Veterans. In the past year, HFOT received 37,398 donations, 1,018 grants that led to the donation of 310 specially adapted custom homes nationwide, bringing 8 veterans into the HFOT family, executing 25 land purchases, having led 11 community kickoffs, and the opportunity to sponsor 12 volunteer days!
