A C5BDI client from Anaheim, CA has won a SBIR Phase II with the US Air Force to create improved complex curved ceramic (IC3) for female body armor. The armor is designed to be lightweight and transparent while also increasing ballistic performance and reducing lifecycle costs. This technology will be used by the Air Force’s 633 Air Base Wing (ABW) in their warfighter efforts.
