All right, let’s get this party started, it’s October….C5BDI’s SBIR Phase III month! This first announcement is a connection (award) for $1M. This connection is between USAF and a small business located in New York, New York. This started as an AFWERX SBIR Phase I and was actually awarded a Phase III before the SBIR Phase II. That happens a lot at C5BDI! In this case, this company has been designing, developing and deploying immersive experiences through AR, VR and MR for the biggest companies in the world for the areas of media and entertainment, product and service marketing, and corporate training. With over 50 commercial customers since 2015, this tech company has delivered hours of immersive content to over 5 million end users globally. This Phase III effort is already underway with gov’t and industry working together to develop, deploy & test maintenance training through the VR medium. Bigger Phase III’s are in the works and this company is the hottest thing going in DoD AR/VR/MR right now. Congrats to both sides!
