C5BDI connects Richmond, VA small business with an Army Phase II award in connection with the fifth iteration of the Army’s xTechSearch prize competition. xTechSearch was established to highlight opportunities for small businesses to collaborate with the Army to tackle their most critical modernization challenges. It also strives to integrate those small businesses into the Army’s S&T ecosystem by providing research opportunities with Army labs, including authorized access to the Army’s organic intellectual and technical capital. This Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) provides an innovative telemedicine platform for use anywhere in the world. Their virtual exam room provides additional critical care technology in order to enhance medics with the ability to provide a higher level of care in the field, transmit critical patient data, and remotely consult with Physicians via secure video connections.
Telehealth has exploded in popularity in 2020; so much so that the American Medical Association (AMA) has called for expansion of telehealth services beyond the pandemic through bipartisan legislation in the form of The Telehealth Modernization Act of 2020. https://www.verywellhealth.com/ama-telemedicine-expansion-5091572
C5BDI is proud to play a small part in the development, expansion, and success of telehealth and e-medicine platforms in the Army and DoD.
